"In regards to my entry into politics, that was never pre-planned. Politics is not my addiction nor my profession. It was never my destination. However, for long I have struggled for the people of this area and through my experience I have learned that there is political groundwork to be done here to alleviate the issues of the people", Boro said.

The UPPL President also says that he will do things that have heretofore never been done in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) during his tenure in the political arena. Calling for peace and unity in the BTR area, Boro said that the 36 people in the region should live as brothers.

Opining that the ruling administration of the Bodoland People's Front (BPF) has failed on all fronts, the UPPL leader said that better administration is needed to upgrade the lives of the people dwelling in the area.

Opining on the election that lies ahead for the parties contesting in the Council, Boro said that Hagrama Mohilary, who currently heads the Council will be re-elected on goodwill if he has been able to perform, otherwise he will be removed.
