Woman delivers out in the open, blame it on bad road

Women delivering kids out in the open has become common in Assam of late. Blame it on poor road condition or the absence of roads.

A pregnant woman, being taken to a hospital, gave birth to a baby on a road in Margherita on Saturday. Her journey to the hospital was delayed due to bad road condition.

The incident comes days after a woman in Majuli gave birth to a baby by the roadside.
