YES WE ARE OPPORTUNIST, OPPORTUNIST IN INTEREST OF THE PEOPLE OF BTAD: BISWAJIT DAIMARY

Biswajit Daimary, Member of Rajya Sabha  from Assam of Bodoland People's Front firmly stated that they are opportunist in safeguarding and protecting the people of BTAD. He said this while addressing the journalists at BPF Conference. He also urged the political parties of Assam to move in similar lines to safeguard the rights of the people in Assam

He stated that it is neither any hooliganism or lawlessness to protect one's own people. He said that the political parties of Assam should peep into its own loopholes rather than criticizing the Bodo political parties.

He stood staunch saying that the BTC Accord signed 15 years back in 2003 is still intact since no selfish motive is associated with it. The Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 can no way come in the way of the BTC Accord since under the 6th schedule BTAD is constitutionalised providing special provisions and protection to it as an autonomous body.

He also stated that it is natural for BPF to be biased and opportunist when it comes to the Protection of BTAD since Bodoland People's Front is a small party and needs to be opportunist for emanation of money from both the state and centre for its development.

Hence at last he stated that the political parties of Assam should reap lessons from BPF and work selflessly towards the the good will of the people.
