YOUTHS ARRESTED FOR OBJECTIONABLE POST ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Guwahati, October 25, 2018:

Police has arrested two youths for their objectionable post on social media during the 12 hour Assam bandh on October 23.

The duo, from Dhekiajuli, Prakash Roy and Nabajit Chaudhary were arrested after the All Assam Students Union (AASU) and Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) filed a complaint with the police against the youths.

Prakash and Nabajit had reportedly posted communal remarks on the social media.

The duo however have denied of posting such communal remark and said they had only copied the content from another post.
