Assam singing icon Zubeen Garg has once again raised his voice against the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, which is likely to be tabled during the ongoing winter session of Parliament. Zubeen will rally with students of the prestigious Cotton College, and raise his voice against the Bill on November 30.

In a video which he posted on social media platforms, the Zubeen Garg informed, "The Bill should be scrapped. The Cottonians are organizing a protest against the same on the 30th of November. I am with them, and you (the people) should also come out and support them."
It may mentioned here that the singing star played a key role in the protests against the Citizenship Bill, after it was passed in the Lok Sabha in the beginning of the year.
During the ruckus over the Citizenship Bill earlier this year, Zubeen wrote an open letter to the Assam Chief Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal, to raise his voice against the 'jati destroying' Bill. Later, Zubeen also took part in the Bajra Ninad -- a gathering of intellectuals against the Bill.
It may be mentioned here that a re-drafted version of the Bill is slated to be tabled in the Parliament once again, and several indigenous organizations are already beginning mass protests against the Bill.
