            <div class="clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item"><p>Jakhalabandha Police, in a joint operation with Bagori Police, seized a truck carrying 30 cattle allegedly being transported illegally along the national highway in Assam’s Kaliabor area, police said.<br>

<p>Acting on a tip-off, personnel from Jakhalabandha and Bagori Police conducted a search operation along the highway and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number AS 01 FC 7761.<br>
 </p>

<p>The vehicle was reportedly travelling from Sivasagar towards Meghalaya when it was intercepted by the police.<br>
 </p>

<p>A total of 30 cattle were recovered from the truck, which police alleged were being transported illegally.<br>
 </p>

<p>Three people allegedly involved in the transportation were detained. They have been identified as Hari Bahadur of Sadiya, Shahid Ali of Samatapathar in Sonapur and Habibul Islam.<br>
 </p>

<p>Police have initiated an investigation into the alleged illegal transportation and said operations against cattle smuggling would continue in the area.</p>
