<p>According to the police, the cattle were allegedly being transported from Saidaria in Rupahi for illegal smuggling towards Bangladesh.<br>
 </p>

<p>Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a team from Rupahihat Police Station, led by Suruj Dutta, intercepted the vehicles and recovered the cattle.<br>
 </p>

<p>Two alleged smugglers, identified as Faruk and Mustafa, managed to flee from the spot during the operation, police said.<br>
 </p>

<p>However, the driver, Wasim Akram, and handyman, Salman Ali, were taken into custody.<br>
 </p>

<p>The seized vehicles bear registration numbers NL-01M-0791 and AS-12CC-1889. Further investigation is underway, police added.</p>
