32 youths in Dima Hasao receive appointment letters under sports quota

In a significant boost to local sports, 32 talented youths from across Dima Hasao were formally handed appointment letters under the district’s sports quota today at Chengia Tularam Playground, Haflong.

The ceremony was graced by CEM of the N.C. Hills Autonomous Council, Devolal Gorlos, along with Principal Mohet Hojai and Sports EM Prabita Johri, among other dignitaries. The officials personally distributed the letters to the selected athletes, recognising their exceptional performance in various sports events.

Speaking to the media, CEM Gorlos emphasised that the initiative aims to inspire young men and women in the district while steering them away from anti-social activities. He further highlighted that several mini stadiums have been constructed across Dima Hasao to provide modern facilities for budding athletes.

This initiative reflects the district administration’s commitment to nurturing sports talent and promoting healthy engagement among the youth.
