402 kg ganja seized along Assam-Bengal border, 3 arrested

Police forces conducted a successful raid at Srirampur on National Highway 31c, located at the Assam-Bengal border, resulting in the seizure of 402 kg of ganja and the arrest of three individuals.

The operation was led by SDPO Gosaigaon Hiren Kumar Deka with support from Simultapu Police.

Authorities intercepted a truck bearing registration number HR 46F 4203, which was travelling from Guwahati to Bihar.

Upon inspection, officers discovered a hidden chamber inside the vehicle containing the illegal substance.

The truck driver and two accomplices were taken into custody following the discovery.
