AAMSU stages protest in Assam's Juria and Kokrajhar, demands resignation of Union Education and Home Ministers

The All Assam Minority Students Union (AAMSU) on July 24 intensified its agitation over the alleged NEET paper leak controversy by staging protests in both Juria and Kokrajhar, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

 

In Juria, AAMSU members and supporters gathered at the main market area and held a large protest demonstration in support of the ongoing agitation led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). The protesters raised slogans against the government in the presence of police and administrative officials and demanded a fair and impartial investigation into the alleged irregularities, strict punishment for those responsible, and justice for affected students.

 

The protesters also sought the immediate resignation of the Union Education Minister and warned that the organisation would intensify its democratic agitation if their demands were not met.

 

Meanwhile, in Kokrajhar, AAMSU members staged a black badge protest to express solidarity with students protesting at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. The organisation strongly condemned the alleged assault by the Delhi Police on the protesting students, describing it as an attack on the democratic right to peaceful protest.

 

Carrying black badges, the protesters voiced strong resentment against the Central Government and the Delhi Police and demanded strict action against the police personnel allegedly involved in the assault.

 

AAMSU leaders reiterated that students have the constitutional right to raise their voices peacefully and urged the authorities to ensure justice, accountability and protection of democratic rights.
