ABVP accuses Congress of trying to create Bangladesh, Nepal-like situation in India

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on October 14 accused the Congress of allegedly working with foreign forces to create a situation in India similar to the political turmoil witnessed in Bangladesh and Nepal.

Addressing a press conference in Silchar, ABVP national secretary Kamlesh Singh claimed that forces seeking to destabilise India were attempting to create an atmosphere of unrest in the country, alleging that the Congress was helping advance their agenda.

Singh also claimed that no ABVP student was participating in the ongoing protest in Delhi, asserting that students associated with the organisation were focused on their education and building their careers.

He alleged that political leaders who had been rejected by voters and removed from power were attempting to create unrest by joining hands with foreign forces.

Singh, however, asserted that Indian citizens and students were aware of what he described as anti-national activities and would respond appropriately at the right time.

The allegations were made by ABVP representatives at the press conference. No evidence substantiating the claims against the Congress or the alleged involvement of foreign forces was provided in the information available.
