Akhil Gogoi to file nomination on March 20 from Sivasagar; Raijor Dal confident of victory

Leaders of the Raijor Dal on March 18 collected the nomination papers of party MLA Akhil Gogoi from the Returning Officer in Sivasagar.

Party officials at both the central and district levels were present during the process, signalling the formal beginning of Gogoi’s election campaign from the Sivasagar Assembly constituency.

Akhil Gogoi, who has been representing the constituency, is known for his vocal stance on key state issues and his active role in raising concerns related to public welfare and development in Assam. 

His tenure has seen consistent engagement with grassroots issues, which the party believes has strengthened his position in the constituency.

Leaders of Raijor Dal expressed confidence that Gogoi faces no significant challenge in Sivasagar and is poised for a comfortable victory. The party also voiced optimism about its prospects in other constituencies, expecting its candidates to perform strongly in the upcoming elections.

It may be noted that Akhil Gogoi is scheduled to formally file his nomination papers on March 20 (Friday) in the presence of party supporters and leaders.
