Akhil Gogoi urges government to ensure full implementation of BTR Accord, demands release of NDFB leaders
Raijor Dal chief and MLA Akhil Gogoi has demanded the immediate release of former National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) leader Ranjan Daimary, along with other incarcerated NDFB members.
Addressing the media, Gogoi also raised concerns over the incomplete implementation of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) Accord. He urged the government to expedite the process and fulfill all commitments made under the agreement.
"The government must clarify when the BTR Accord will be fully implemented. Additionally, several NDFB leaders remain behind bars and should be released. The Central Government must also ensure that funds are directly allocated to the Sixth Schedule areas," Gogoi asserted.
