<p>Deuri made the remarks while campaigning in Dalbari in Morigaon district, in the presence of BJP candidate Debasish Sharma.</p>

<p>Addressing the gathering, the MLA said voters should not promise to support the BJP if they did not intend to vote for the party. He urged people to clearly state whether they would vote for the BJP or not.</p>

<p>“Allah will not forgive you if you do not vote for the BJP,” Deuri said, according to the remarks made at the meeting.</p>

<p>The MLA also cautioned voters against making commitments to the party and subsequently voting differently.</p>

<p>“I will remain an MLA till 2031, so be very careful,” Deuri said.</p>

<p>The remarks were made during the BJP's campaign for the Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election, which is scheduled to be held on October 6. BJP candidate Debasish Sharma filed his nomination papers on September 17.</p>
