Alleged sex racket busted in Assam's Jorhat, four detained

Tension prevailed at Rodali Path in Bohotia Gaon, Jorhat, after local residents allegedly busted a sex racket operating in the area.

According to reports, local residents caught several young men and women at the spot and allegedly confronted them before informing the police.

Acting on the information, police reached the location and detained three young women and one young man for questioning.

Several other men and women allegedly fled the spot before the police arrived.

Police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances of the incident and whether an organised sex trafficking or prostitution racket was operating in the area.
