This groundbreaking parade has drawn attention not only for the sheer number of participants but also for the unique collaboration between the army and the police force. Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister of Assam will also join Home Minister Amit Shah in witnessing the event.

Speaking to India Today NE, Harmeet Singh, Special DGP Assam Police highlighted the visionary approach of the Chief Minister in establishing a specialized force for Assam. Singh spoke about the strategic significance of Assam as a border state underlining the paramount importance of national security.

"Don't forget we are a border state and national security is of paramount importance. So, create a specialized force of such caliber, such motivation that they act as a line of defense for the country," said Singh.

The 2551 recruits holding ranks of both sub-inspectors and constables underwent a groundbreaking training regimen, collaborating with the army in unprecedented numbers. Following basic training with the army, they received specialized police training at the Lachit Borphukan Police Academy in Dergaon. The comprehensive training included special forces training, police training and law and order training ensuring their full readiness for their crucial roles.

Singh applauded the transparency of the recruitment process, emphasizing the physical fitness and motivation of the recruits. "The best part is they have come out from a transparent recruitment and after seeing the rehearsal, I realized how motivated they are for the country," he remarked.

The Passing Out Parade of more than 2500 individuals is an unprecedented event in Singh's 32-year career as a police officer. The recruits described as the "backbone of the security grid of Assam," will undergo refresher training with the army setting a new standard envisioned by the Chief Minister.
