<p>Acting on allegations that Abdul Hamid had been involved in cow slaughter and the illegal sale of beef from his residence for a prolonged period, members of the Bharatiya Go Raksha Bahini, along with Jakhalabandha Police, conducted an operation at his house.</p>

<p>According to the allegations, a pregnant cow carrying a calf was also slaughtered and its meat was being sold, triggering concern among local residents.</p>

<p>Police detained Abdul Hamid, Joseph Nayak, Rafiqul Islam and Dalal Uddin in connection with the alleged cow slaughter and meat trade.</p>

<p>Two other persons who had reportedly arrived at Hamid's residence to purchase beef were also detained by police, while two others allegedly managed to flee from the spot.</p>

<p>Police seized two three-wheelers and three motorcycles from the location.</p>

<p>The seized items included the head of the slaughtered cow and around 1 quintal 12 kg of meat.</p>

<p>Police have launched an investigation into the alleged illegal cow slaughter and meat trade, while further details are awaited.</p>
