Assam: 15-feet long python rescued in Hailakandi

A colossal 15-feet long python was discovered in the Panchgram area of Hailakandi district. The reptile was rescued by local residents during the late hours of the night on April 26.

The unexpected encounter with the python has left residents in a state of alarm. Upon receiving word of the serpent's presence, forest department mobilized, arriving at the scene to safely remove the massive python from the area.

Jawaharlal Das, a resident of Panchgram said that sightings of the giant snake had been reported in the vicinity over the past few days.
