The day-long programme commenced with flag hoisting, tribute to martyrs, and a tree plantation drive, followed by traditional religious rituals conducted by Baibra priests from Dayrong in Goalpara district. As part of customary observances, chickens and pigs were offered in sacrifice to deities, according to Boko Regional ARSU president Sujit Rabha.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, a traditional multicoloured dance competition titled Bohurongi was organised with participation from thirteen teams across the Boko region. Khenapara team secured the first position, while Pub Turukpara team finished second, informed Kamrup District ARSU assistant secretary Ankur Rabha.

The event was conducted under the leadership of organising committee president Manoranjan Rabha and secretary Bipindra Rabha.
Among those present were Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council chairman Sonaram Rabha, executive member Sumit Rabha, Arjun Chettri, and Aditya Rabha.
