Assam: 2 boys go missing in Manas River while taking bath

A tragic incident unfolded at Manikpur in Bongaigaon district, where two teenagers went missing while bathing in the Manas river at Bashbari No. 1, under the jurisdiction of Manikpur police station. 

Earlier in the day, a total of five teenagers were reported missing in the river post their bath, however, due to the swift action of locals, three were rescued, leaving two unaccounted for. 

SDRF forces have arrived at the scene and are persisting with the rescue operation. The missing juveniles have been identified as Rakibul Islam and Abdur Rahim.

Meanwhile, locals are helping in the search operation while fearing the boys might have drowned.
