Assam: 21st Adivasi Mahasabha to be held in Tinsukia's Margherita in January 2026

The 21st edition of the Adivasi Mahasabha is set to be organized from January 30 to February 2, 2026, at the Bargolai Dehing Sports Complex Playground in Margherita Co-District, under the aegis of the All Adivasi Students' Association of Assam (AASAA), Tinsukia District Committee, in collaboration with the local residents of the Tinsukia district.

To gear up for the mega cultural gathering, a public meeting was convened on Sunday at Margherita Marwari Vivaah Bhawan, where members from the central and district leadership of AASAA joined hundreds of regional committee representatives to officially constitute the Reception Committee for the event.

The newly formed Reception Committee will oversee the planning and execution of the four-day Mahasabha. The committee includes:

Vice-Presidents: Nelson Tassa and Raja Kujur

The Adivasi Mahasabha, a significant annual cultural congregation, will showcase the vibrant traditions, folk culture, and heritage of the Adivasi community through various events, performances, and exhibitions.
