Assam: 3 dead after ambulance crushed in fatal collision with bus in Tinsukia, several injured

At least three people were killed in a tragic road accident in Makum, located in Assam’s Tinsukia district, early Tuesday, November 25 morning.

The collision occurred in the Sukanpukhuri area when a night super bus and an ambulance crashed head-on, leaving the ambulance completely mangled due to the severe impact. Three occupants of the ambulance died on the spot, while several others sustained injuries. The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals for immediate medical attention.

Officials said the identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed. Preliminary information indicates that the ambulance was carrying seven passengers at the time of the accident.

Police teams have arrived at the site, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the crash.
