A major fire erupted near Balarpet Tiniali Bazaar in Bongaigaon district, leaving three homes and a tempo vehicle completely destroyed. The blaze caused significant damage, with property losses estimated at approximately Rs 30 lakh.
The affected homes belonged to Samed Ali, Suleman Ali, and Rafiqul Islam, all of whom suffered total destruction of their properties.
Preliminary reports from local residents suggest that the fire was likely triggered by an electrical short circuit.
Swift action by firefighters, supported by local residents, prevented the flames from spreading to the nearby market area, averting further devastation.
Police personnel from the Borghola Police Outpost were present at the scene, conducting an inspection and ensuring the situation remained under control.
