Assam: 50 meritorious students from marginalised backgrounds to receive free education from Gohpur school

In a commendable initiative aimed at promoting inclusive education, Shankardev Shiksha Niketan, a residential educational institution based in Gohpur, has announced its decision to provide free education to 50 academically talented students from economically disadvantaged families.

Continuing its long-standing commitment to social responsibility and educational upliftment, the school will bear all academic expenses of the selected students, enabling them to pursue quality education without financial burden.

Shankardev Shiksha Niketan has consistently set an example in the region, having supported the education of over 200 financially weak students each year, thereby bridging the gap between merit and opportunity.

One notable success story is that of Chandrapal Patgiri, a former student who studied at the institution free of cost and is now pursuing his medical education at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, reflecting the transformative impact of such initiatives.

The school administration stated that the selection process would prioritize both merit and financial need, ensuring that deserving students receive the opportunity to excel in a nurturing academic environment.
