Assam: 9 critically injured as car, bike collide head-on in Lekhapani

A road accident on National Highway 315 near Udaipur in Lekhapani left nine people critically injured on Friday, May 2. The accident occurred when a Maruti vehicle (registration AS 23 E 8038) and a Yamaha MT motorcycle (registration AS 06 AL 7967) collided head-on in a violent crash.

According to local reports, the Maruti vehicle was carrying eight occupants, including four children, two women, and two men. The motorcyclist, who was also severely injured, is reported to be in a critical condition.

Emergency teams and local police responded swiftly, transporting the injured to nearby medical facilities for urgent treatment. The condition of several victims is described as serious, raising concerns over their recovery.
