Assam: AASU alumni from Tinsukia extend flood relief to affected families in Sivasagar

Former members of the All Tinsukia District Students Union (AASU) have extended relief assistance to flood-affected families in Sivasagar district, expressing solidarity with people impacted by the recent floods in Upper Assam.

The relief drive, organised by the alumni members of the student body, saw the distribution of food items, essential commodities and other relief materials in several flood-hit areas of the district.

The assistance was provided to numerous families who have been severely affected by the floods, with organisers stating that the initiative was undertaken as part of their humanitarian responsibility to support those in distress.

The organisers also pledged to continue standing by disaster-affected communities and provide further assistance based on the needs of the people in the coming days.

They expressed gratitude to volunteers, donors and members of the public who contributed to the success of the relief campaign, while appealing to society to come together and uphold the spirit of humanitarian service during times of crisis.
