Assam: AASU chief advisor Samujjal Bhattacharya slams government on delayed action against illegal immigrants

Samujjal Kumar Bhattacharya, the Chief Advisor of the All Assam Students' Union (AASU), expressed grave concerns over the growing infiltration of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants into Assam, the Northeast, and other parts of India, including Delhi and Mumbai.

Speaking at the historic Ganesh Temple in Lalmati-Duramari, Bhattacharya reiterated the continued relevance of AASU’s anti-illegal immigration movement, highlighting that the issue remains a pressing concern for the region.

Bhattacharya criticized the government for its lack of prompt action against illegal immigration, accusing it of delaying necessary measures to control the influx.

The AASU leader strongly urged the Indian government to seal the India-Bangladesh border immediately and take swift action by launching a special operation aimed at tackling illegal immigration and curbing the influence of radical elements in the country.
