A high-level team from the Adani Group paid a visit to Jogighopa in Assam’s Bongaigaon district on Monday, arriving directly from Rupsi Airport.
The delegation comprising four senior officials of the Adani Group inspected the under-construction Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP), India’s first international-standard logistics park being developed at Jogighopa.
During the visit, the team closely reviewed the progress of the ongoing construction works at the MMLP site. Following this, they also visited the International Waterway Terminal at Jogighopa.

The visit, however, was kept low-key, and the Adani Group representatives maintained a distance from media interactions. The specific reason behind their visit was not officially disclosed, although speculations are rife that the government may soon hand over operational responsibilities of the logistics park to the Adani Group.
The MMLP at Jogighopa is nearing completion in its first phase, marking a significant milestone in India’s logistics and infrastructure development. Notably, just this past Saturday, the King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, had also toured the site during his visit to Assam.
Once operational, the logistics park is expected to boost trade by enabling smooth import and export of goods to and from neighbouring countries like Bhutan and Bangladesh.
