Assam: Akhil Gogoi's meeting with mere 38 attendees a disappointment, says BJP Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah

In a scathing critique of Akhil Gogoi's recent organizational meeting in Sivasagar, BJP Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah on October 27 expressed his disappointment over the meager 38 attendees and raised questions about the political standing of the opposition leader. Jayanta Malla Baruah's comments shed light on the challenges Akhil Gogoi is facing in the political arena.

At the meeting held in Samaguri, Sivasagar, which was intended to gather support and discuss the path forward for Akhil Gogoi, only 38 individuals were present. 

Adding to the political turbulence surrounding Gogoi, Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah, who had previously praised Gogoi's efficiency, now claims that Gogoi is merely running a company. This about-face in assessment further complicates Gogoi's political standing and raises questions about his future in the region.

Furthermore, Akhil Gogoi was invited to a tourism department event by an official in Sivasagar, prompting discussions about his role and expectations as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). Some have raised questions about whether Gogoi should be seeking invitations from the Chief Minister or a Minister given his political position.
