Assam: Annual photography exhibition ‘PIXMIT-2025’ unveiled in Tezpur

Tezpur's artistic essence took center stage as the annual photography exhibition, PIXMIT-2025, was inaugurated today at the historic Baliram Lahkar Art Gallery, at the Assamese Club, a cornerstone of the community for over a century.  


Organized by the Tezpur Photography Club, the two-day event brings together 96 stunning photographs that explore a variety of themes, presented by 25 skilled photographers from Tezpur and surrounding areas.  


The exhibition was formally inaugurated by acclaimed international photographer Nalini Barua, Tezpur MLA Prithviraj Rabha, and several distinguished intellectuals. Hrishikesh Goswami, Secretary of the Children’s Literature Trust and former Media Advisor to the Chief Minister, performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony.  


In his address, MLA Prithviraj Rabha praised the global recognition of Nalini Barua’s photography, underlining the profound ability of photographs to encapsulate and reflect historical moments. The event celebrates the enduring impact of visual storytelling and its role in preserving cultural narratives for future generations.
