Several sectors in Assam are facing a new menace as swarms of mealy bugs, insects notorious for infesting trees and parks, are spreading fear by infiltrating residential spaces.

This time unidentified beetle-like insects are creating menece in Sipajhar. 

Several families in Alikhapara in Sipajhar have had to leave their homes due to the pest menace. 

Notably, this black-coloured insect is seen climbing along the streets, the door, and even the bed, leaving residents to leave their homes.

In a concerning turn of events, Dalgaon Middle School in Kaliabor finds itself besieged by an unrelenting swarm of unidentified insects, causing distress among students and faculty alike.

For weeks, the school has been grappling with the persistent threat posed by thousands of these mysterious insects, leaving many bewildered and concerned about the potential risks they may pose. The situation has escalated to the point where both students and the chairman of the managing committee have fallen victim to these uninvited visitors.

Witnesses describe the creatures as small, agile, and seemingly impervious to conventional pest control methods, heightening fears about their potential to spread and cause harm.
