Assam: Bir Lachit Sena protests illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators in Kaliabor, demands action

Bir Lachit Sena has taken to the roads of Kaliabor to protest against illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators entering the area on July 25.

From Uriamghat, these encroachers have forcefully broken into homes and arrived in vehicles, entering Nagaon district unlawfully.

An atmosphere of tension has developed on the roads of Kaliabor due to this issue. Concerned about the entry of these encroachers via the National Highway, the Bir Lachit Sena of the sub-division has taken a firm stand.

The Bir Lachit Sena stopped the vehicles of the encroachers on Kaliabor roads and questioned them. This action led to a chaotic situation, which was eventually brought under control by the police.

The police assured that the encroachers would be sent back beyond the borders of Kaliabor.
