Assam: Boat capsizes in South Salmara river, people save themselves by swimming to safety

A boat capsized at Fakirganj's Shantipur in Assam's South Salmara. The accident took place when the boat, Tulunga, was ferrying approximately 20 passengers and some bikes across the river.

All passengers managed to save their lives after they fell into the water.

To save themselves, passengers managed to swim towards the river bank.
