Assam: Boat collision captured on camera in Bongaigaon, passengers rescued

A  boat accident in Jogighopa, Bongaigaon district, was captured on camera on September 16. The incident unfolded as the boat, carrying approximately 35 passengers, including livestock, was en route from Kabaitari market.

The impact of the collision cleaved the middle of the boat into pieces, causing the vessel to rapidly sink into the river. Passengers, which included children and women were rescued and there were no reported injuries among the passengers.
