Assam: BSF carries out special operations near India-Bangladesh border, results in significant seizure

In a proactive move to curb cross-border crimes, the Border Security Force (BSF) carried out special operations near the India-Bangladesh border, resulting in significant seizures. 

In one operation conducted in Salapara, South Salmara-Mankachar District under the Dhubri BSF sector, the BSF seized 1,298 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) valued at approximately Rs 2 lakh. Simultaneously, in another operation in Sarkarpara, the forces intercepted and seized 12 smuggled buffaloes.

The BSF's Intelligence Branch played a crucial role in these successful operations, displaying heightened vigilance ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. 

Acting on intelligence inputs, the BSF executed these operations efficiently, underscoring their commitment to maintaining border security and thwarting illicit activities.

The seizures underscore the challenges posed by cross-border smuggling and the BSF's determination to combat such activities. These operations not only prevent the illegal influx of goods and livestock but also contribute to safeguarding national interests and upholding law and order along the India-Bangladesh border.
