Assam: Burglars break into MoS Pabitra Margherita’s house for second time

The residence of Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita was burglarised for the second time in two weeks, raising serious security concerns in Guwahati's Rukmini Gaon area.

Thieves targeted electrical wiring and other items from the minister's home located in By-lane 5. A case has been registered at Dispur Police Station as authorities launch an investigation to apprehend those responsible.

Following this repeated security breach, officials have implemented enhanced protective measures around the property. This latest incident comes approximately 15 days after a similar break-in at the same location.

Local residents have expressed growing concern as the neighbourhood continues to experience frequent theft incidents despite the high-profile nature of some properties in the area.

Police have intensified operations throughout the vicinity as the investigation continues.
