The historic Chamaria Satra, revered as the shrine of Sri Sri Borbishnu Ata, witnessed the grand conclusion of its annual festival with deep devotion and cultural splendor.
The four-day event culminated in a mesmerizing performance of Ram Vijay Bhaona, a revered play composed by Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva, presented as a street drama (Bator Nat).
A massive gathering of devotees thronged the satra premises to witness the dramatization of Lord Ram and Sita’s wedding, a performance that remains a highlight of the festival.
Observed annually on the Shukla Dwitiya of Phagun, the festival holds profound significance as it commemorates the disappearance anniversary of Sri Sri Borbishnu Ata, the satra’s founder.
This year’s celebrations were marked by an extended four-day schedule, featuring elaborate rituals, devotional gatherings, and cultural presentations, drawing immense participation from the faithful.
The grandeur of the occasion was further amplified by the presence of devotees from various states, underscoring the Chamariya Satra’s role as a spiritual and cultural epicenter of the Neo-Vaishnavite tradition.
