Assam Chief Secretary reviews Barak Valley connectivity, road infrastructure during visit to Sribhumi

Assam Chief Secretary Ravi Kota paid an official visit to Sribhumi on Friday evening, accompanied by his wife. The couple received a warm welcome upon arrival from local officials and dignitaries.

 

Soon after, Kota convened an emergency review meeting at the District Commissioner's conference hall, where he held detailed discussions with departmental heads. 

 

The focus of the meeting centered around assessing the current state of connectivity in the Barak Valley, road infrastructure within Sribhumi district, and the progress of various developmental projects across departments.

 

Following the meeting, Ravi Kota proceeded to Hailakandi and Silchar for further on-ground assessments.

 

Speaking to media personnel, the Chief Secretary said he had taken comprehensive stock of the government’s infrastructure and connectivity initiatives in the region.

 

He emphasized the importance of monitoring the real-time execution of government schemes and development programs.

 

“The purpose of my visit is to evaluate how effectively various schemes are being implemented,” he said, underlining the government’s commitment to transparency and performance-based governance.
