Assam: College student killed by speeding dumper in Nalbari, angry crowd blocks road

In a tragic incident, a college student lost her life in a fatal road accident at Ganesh Mandir Chowk in Nalbari, Assam on August 12.

 

The incident occurred when Payal Debnath, a student heading to college, was struck by a speeding dumper, killing her on spot.

 

The incident sent shockwaves through the area, leading to immediate and intense public outrage.

Within hours of Payal’s death, students and local residents took to the streets in protest, blocking the highway by setting tyres ablaze. 

 

The roadblock caused significant disruption in the area, as the grieving and angered community demanded justice and increased road safety measures at the accident-prone location.
