Assam Congress eyes clean sweep in Chaygaon panchayat: MLA Rekibuddin leads charge

Ahead of the second phase of the Assam panchayat elections on May 7, Chaygaon LAC Congress MLA Rekibuddin Ahmed asserted that Congress will win every seat in the region during the party’s campaign rally at Gumi.

During the rally, several AGP leaders from the Chaygaon constituency joined the Congress in Ahmed’s presence, further strengthening the party’s position.

The MLA campaigned for ZPC candidate Hazarat Ali (Little) from 4 No. Pub Chamaria and Gumi Anchalik Panchayat candidate Mainul Haque.

Promising infrastructure development, Ahmed assured that the kaccha Gumi-Mohgor road would be constructed soon. He noted that connectivity in the region had already improved significantly, particularly with the new road linking Gumi and Goroimari to Guwahati via the riverbank of the Brahmaputra.

Highlighting various development initiatives undertaken in Chaygaon LAC, Ahmed urged voters to support Congress for continued progress across every Panchayat.

He also appealed to residents to avoid conflict during the election season, emphasizing the need for unity post-polls.
