Assam: Congress MLA Rakibul Hussain prefers BJP alliance over AIUDF, takes dig at Ajmal

Congress MLA Rakibul Hussain made a big statement on March 4, stating that it is better to have an alliance with the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) than to ally with the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF). Speaking during the 'Haath se Haath Jodo' campaign Rakibul Hussain took a dig at Badruddin Ajmal, stating that he maintains a good relationship with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

In addition, Rakibul Hussain also complained that the Chief Minister has politically cheated the tea community and The Ahoms. He also stated that the Himanta Biswa Sarma will not tribalise six communities out of fear of losing the post of Chief Minister. The controversy surrounding Mallikarjun Kharge was initiated to divert reference to the child who went viral during Silsako eviction, according to Rakibul Hussain's reaction.

These comments were made during the 'Haath se Haath Jodo' campaign launched by the Congress in Samaguri in Nagaon.
Rakibul Hussain also highlighted the friendship between the AIUDF and the Chief Minister. However, he emphasized that an alliance with the BJP would be more beneficial.

The Congress party has not made an official statement regarding Rakibul Hussain's comments. It remains to be seen if this statement will have any impact on the party's future alliances.
