Assam: Convoy of Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi meets with accident in Silchar, 7 injured

Lok Sabha MP and Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi's convoy met with an accident on October 3. The incident took place in Assam's Silchar after a car hit the convoy of Gaurav Gogoi moving ahead with other vehicles. 

As per sources, around 10 vehicles including former minister Ajit Singh's vehicle met with an accident. Several Congress workers, including women were injured.

The accident took place at Maynarband bridge on Silchar airport road when scores of vehicles were taking MP Gaurav Gogoi from Kumbhirgram airport in Silchar to Congress Bhavan.

While the luxury vehicles in the rally were speeding, one vehicle suddenly hit the other in front of it. As a result, about 10 luxury cars were damaged. 

Police arrived after the accident and rescued the ill-fated vehicles and took them away. Meanwhile, Gaurav Gogoi escaped unhurt in the incident.
