Raju Pal, an inmate of Haflong Sub-Jail died under mysterious circumstances today. Raju Pal, who had been lodged in Haflong Sub-Jail, was reported unwell and was being transferred to Haflong Civil Hospital when he passed away on his way there.

Raju Pal's arrest took place under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, stemming from Deteksara under Harengazao police station. According to his family, the late Raju Pal had a conversation on the phone just on November 8 and appeared to be in good health at that time.

This has Raju Pal's family members in shock and disbelief. They have raised suspicions regarding the circumstances surrounding his death and are calling for a thorough investigation into the matter. The family believes that the abrupt and unexplained death of Raju Pal deserves a comprehensive examination to ascertain the exact cause.

This incident draws parallels with another incident in 2022 when Raju, a prisoner from Uttar Pradesh who had been arrested alongside "The Burmese Supari," also lost his life within the confines of the Haflong Sub-Jail.
