Assam: Decomposed body with severed head found near Hajo’s Powa Mecca Hill, murder suspected
A severely decomposed body of a man was recovered on Sunday, November 23 at the foothills of the Powa Mecca Hill in Hajo, Assam triggering suspicion of foul play in the area.
The body was first spotted by a woman who had gone to collect firewood, after which she immediately alerted nearby residents. Acting on the information, police rushed to the site and recovered the remains.
According to officials, the deceased’s head was found some distance away from the main body, leading locals to suspect that the man may have been killed elsewhere and his body dumped at the location to destroy evidence.
