Dhing College in Nagaon district has achieved national recognition by securing second place in a competition titled "Future India," organized by Nagindas Khandwala College, Malad, Mumbai, on September 6. The competition, aimed at highlighting social contributions by educational institutions, saw over 70 colleges from across India participating.
Associate Professor and Vice-Principal Dr. Snigdha Mahanta represented Dhing College in the "Contribution to Tribal Communities" category. Through an impactful audio-visual presentation, she showcased the college's efforts, particularly in the backward village of Dhupguri Kochari. These activities, conducted under the National Service Scheme (NSS) and National Cadet Corps (NCC), earned the college high praise.
The institution is also involved in adopting four underdeveloped villages under the Government of India’s Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiative. Esteemed figures, including Guwahati University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Nani Gopal Mahanta and Director of Higher Education Pomi Baruah, extended their congratulations to Dhing College for this remarkable achievement.
