Assam: Dhing Youth Congress president Nawaz Sharif resigns from post after bypoll defeat
Nawaz Sharif, president of the Dhing Block Youth Congress Committee, has resigned from his organisational post following the Congress party’s defeat in the recent by-election.
Sharif submitted his resignation letter to the Assam Pradesh Youth Congress Committee, stepping down from his position as the block unit president.
However, Sharif has clarified that he has not resigned from the Congress party and will continue to remain a party member. He said he wanted new people to get an opportunity to take up responsibilities within the organisation.
His decision to step down from the post following the by-election has drawn attention within the Dhing Congress unit.
