Assam: Dhubri BJP president criticises MP Rakibul Hussain for violating traffic rules

Newly-appointed BJP district president for Dhubri, Ranjit Kumar Roy, has criticised Member of Parliament Rakibul Hussain for violating traffic rules while riding a government-allotted two-wheeler.

On February 18, Roy slammed Hussain for riding a red-colored Honda Pleasure scooter, which is meant for meritorious higher secondary students under an Assam Government scheme.

He alleged that the scooter had failed a pollution test and that Hussain was seen riding it without a helmet, in clear violation of traffic laws.

"What knowledge can he give to the people of his Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC) when he himself does not follow the law?" Roy questioned, raising concerns over the MP’s actions.

The incident has sparked a debate over the responsible use of government resources and adherence to traffic laws by public representatives.

While no official response has been issued by Superintendent of Police, Dhubri or his administration, the matter is gaining attention in political circles and among the public.
