Assam's Dhubri district turned into a vibrant tapestry of colours, culture, and celebration as the district administration marked ‘Dhubri District Day’ to commemorate the district’s foundation on July 1, 1983.
Organised by the Dhubri District Administration, the day’s festivities kicked off with a grand cultural procession, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, cultural troupes, and local citizens. The lively procession marched through the heart of Dhubri town, offering a rich visual display of the district’s diverse ethnic traditions, folk music, dance forms, and community pride.
Students from various educational institutions, alongside traditional performers representing different communities, added fervour to the event, while residents lined the streets to witness the celebrations.
The event was graced by top district officials including Additional Commissioner Banti Talukdar, Additional Commissioner Santa Chetri, Assistant Commissioner Babli Das, and other senior members of the administration. Their presence emphasized the importance of the occasion as a tribute to the district’s journey of growth, inclusivity, and cultural harmony.
