Assam: Dispute over motorcycle horn turns ugly, youth attacked with helmet in Nagaon

A late-night altercation in Nagaon’s Dhakaipatti area escalated into a violent incident when a young man was allegedly assaulted with a motorcycle helmet.

The victim, identified as Tandip Kakoti, was reportedly attacked by an unruly youth, triggering shock and outrage among local residents. 

According to initial reports, the dispute began over the sounding of a motorcycle horn, which quickly turned into a physical confrontation.

Acting swiftly, Nagaon Sadar Police initiated an investigation and detained Arnis Rahman in connection with the case. Authorities have confirmed that interrogation is underway as part of ongoing efforts to determine the exact sequence of events.

Police have urged the public to maintain calm while the probe continues.
