Assam: District Transport Officer’s office inaugurated in Bajali; vehicle registration services to begin locally
The District Transport Officer’s (DTO) office was formally inaugurated in Assam's Bajali on February 22, marking a significant step toward strengthening transport administration in the district.
The office was ceremonially inaugurated by local MLA Charan Boro. He was accompanied by Cabinet Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass, who attended the programme.
With the establishment of the new office, residents of Bajali will now be able to register their vehicles within the district, eliminating the need to travel elsewhere for registration-related services.
Guneshwar Bezbaruah has been appointed as the District Transport Officer (DTO) of Bajali.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA emphasised that the Transport Department is giving significant importance to revenue collection while ensuring efficient and accessible public services. He added that the new office will improve administrative efficiency and enhance convenience for citizens in the region.
